Lyngholt Camping is a GreenStay certified nature campsite, where we live and work in harmony with nature. We are part of Bæredygtig Bundlinje Bornholm and have an ambitious goal of becoming CO2 neutral by 2025. We have already implemented several sustainable initiatives on site, and we encourage all our guests to help take care of the nature around us. Together we can do even more.
Sustainabilityis not just a buzzword at Lyngholt Camping. It is our lifestyle and philosophy. As individuals, as a local business and as a society, we must take responsibility for our impact on nature. Therefore, we do everything we can to reduce our C02 footprint. This means that Lyngholt Camping is designed with sustainability in mind in every aspect of its operations - from recycling waste to using green energy.
We have installed solar panels on the roofs of several of our service buildings.
We have electric charging stations.
We use heat pumps to heat our domestic water.
We sort our waste and encourage our guests to do the same.
We have installed water and energy saving measures in all service buildings.
We use eco-labeled products for cleaning.

In 2021, Lyngholt Camping became GreenStay certified
The GreenStay certification is your guarantee that we as a campsite are working to reduce our water consumption, reduce our use of fossil fuels, reduce our electricity consumption and sort waste responsibly.
This means that we have heat pumps for heating, solar panels and waste sorting in as many fractions as possible. We have also installed electric charging points on site.
Sustainable bottom line
Lyngholt Camping is part of Sustainable Bottom Line Bornholm. Here, green business models are developed to help companies realize their potential for energy and material efficiency improvements, circular economy and green business development.
For us, Sustainable Bottom Line means the following:
- To make Lyngholt Camping C02-neutral by the end of 2025
- Continuing to meet all GreenStay standards
- To help our guests have a greener vacation and inspire them to make sustainable and environmentally friendly choices
